FAQS
Q: Can I mail you my bouquet from out of state?
A: Yes! You can mail your blooms to our preservation studio located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania from anywhere in the United States. Don't worry about the specifics we provide a super simple step-by-step packing guide as well as a guidance video.
Q: How long does the process take?
A: The Floral preservation process requires intricate design and drying processes. The entire process from start to finish can take up to 3 to 4 months. We always prioritize giving each bouquet the time and attention it needs to last a lifetime.
Q: Will my dried flowers look the same as my bouquet?
A: Yes! At Aurora's Aromas LLC, we specialize in preserving your bouquet's shape, design, and color.
The Design: Bouquets are arranged to match how they entered our studio, unless a custom style is requested during booking.
The Color: Most flowers retain excellent vibrancy. We use specialized methods to keep your blooms as bright as possible.
Natural Changes: Slight color shifts are natural. We do not offer color correction.
Special Varieties: Tropical flowers and certain orchid varieties may experience natural browning during preservation.
Q: Will my bouquet fade over time?
A: Yes, natural fading or shifting in petal color is a normal part of the flower drying process and can occur over time. To preserve your piece's vibrancy, we highly recommend displaying it out of direct sunlight, which causes bleaching. Placing keepsakes in rooms with low or indirect light will maximize their lifespan. While resin preservation encases blooms to protect them from the air and keep them bright, framed pieces require a bit more attention as they are exposed to the ambient environment.
Q: When should I mail/drop off my bouquet to you?
A: To ensure the best possible results, we highly recommend getting your fresh florals to our preservation studio within 2 to 3 days after your wedding. The day after your event is ideal.
Drop-Off Option: If you are local to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, we highly encourage you to drop off your florals at our local studio. This guarantees the flowers stay pristine while completely avoiding shipping fees. We can accommodate drop-offs anytime following your wedding.
Shipping Option: If you need to ship your florals, we highly recommend using an overnight or expedited shipping method. This ensures they arrive in the best possible condition.
Timeline Policy: Please note that we cannot accept flowers that are over 2 weeks old. At that stage, the natural deterioration process prevents the florals from being pressed and preserved properly.
Q: Do you work with artificial flowers as well as real flowers?
A: Yes! We can preserve any florals you would like. We can create keepsakes out of your wooden blooms, silk florals, real touch flowers as well as live florals. Please note preservation options are different due to differences in the artificial flowers compared to live florals. Resin keepsakes are great options for all three types of flowers. While frames and Shadow boxes are more designed for fresh flowers compared to wooden.
Q: My flowers are already dried. Can you still preserve them?
A: Yes! Dry florals are not a problem. If you got married a couple years ago and just stuck your bouquet to air dry in your closet that is no problem. You can still drop them off or mail them to our preservation studio where we can create a timeless Keepsake.
